LeTs-Care Goes Global!

At the International Public Policy Association Conference, ICPP7, held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from June 1 to 4, 2025, Prof. Poškutė (ISM University of Management and Economics) presented the paper “Meeting Long-term Care Needs of Older Adults in Ageing Societies: case of Lithuania.”

The article aims to analyze the challenges of long-term care in meeting the long-term care needs of older adults in a country that relies primarily on informal care: Lithuania. Empirical data covering topics such as the accessibility and affordability of services in old age, the sustainability of the system, and collaboration between the formal and informal sectors in the provision of long-term care were collected through semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders in long-term care in the country.
