LeTs-Care researchers contribute to international dialogue on LTC

From 1 to 3 September, the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo – UIMP hosted the UIMP-IMSERSO Summer Course “Análisis comparado internacional de los sistemas de protección a la dependencia en Europa. La reforma de la LAPAD en España”, bringing together experts to reflect on the future of long-term care.

As part of the programme, three researchers from the LeTs-Care project – Barbara Da Roit (University of Venice – Ca’ Foscari), Roberta Perna (CSIC), and Alexandra Lopes (University of Porto) – took part in a roundtable dedicated to presenting the project’s findings. They shared key insights into how different European countries are addressing the challenges of long-term care and what lessons can inspire ongoing reforms in Spain.

Their contributions helped enrich the conversation with an international perspective, underlining the importance of contexualised and reflexive approaches to care.

LeTs-Care’s participation in this high-level academic and policy forum highlights the project’s commitment to advancing knowledge and fostering dialogue on the future of long-term care in Europe.
